At Home with Rosalyn Drexler
May 31, 2025
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
This members-only reception invites guests to enjoy the new exhibition At Home with Rosalyn Drexler, featuring an array of work by the legendary Pop Artist.
At Home with Rosalyn Drexler explores the artist’s relationship with and treatment of domestic spaces throughout her career. Whereas the home is often interpreted as a safe haven, Drexler depicts domestic spaces rife with tension, conflict, and even violence. These works confront viewers with a question: is home a place one escapes to or escapes from? Situating Drexler’s work within the spatial context of the Pollock-Krasner House, a historic site in which canonical works of art were made both within and near the domestic sphere, this exhibition also asks broader questions about how an artist’s persona lifel and home life influences their work. Co-curated by Dr. Rachel Silverbloom.
